(Eight students assist in the Library as work study programme)

2. What are the total library resources that student has access to, including resources outside the institution? Do you think that the resources are adequate for the program offered, if not, what steps has the institution taken to supplement them?

A student can use all the books during the library hours. He can check out five books. Students are not allowed to take the reference book to the room. The resources are adequate for the programs offered.

3. Is there adequate funding for the library development? What is the total budget given to this development? What is the annual budget for the acquisition for books, journals and resources?

Not at present. The library fee remitted by the students are utilized for the acquisition of books, journals and periodicals. Also sponsorship are sought for the increase in volumes.

4. Who are involved in the selection and acquisition of resources and what procedures are practiced?

Librarian and Faculty members.

As and when there is a need for text books and as well as other books.

5. What percentage of the library Books, periodicals, other materials is Asian authored/published?

25 %

6. To what extent is the library being utilized to the maximum by both faculty and students? How are new acquisitions advertised to the faculty and students?

The faculty and students make maximum use of the library. New acquisitions are placed on the new arrival self by the Librarian.

7. Is the library computerized? if not, What steps are taken to pursue the computerization of the library?

Partially computerized. Serious measures are being taken to fully computerize.

8. Do Students have access to the internet in the Library?

When the library is fully computerized in format facility will be available for the students.

9. What are the strengths and areas needing improvement in the library component?
